Virtual Childbirth Education

Transform Anxiety into Confidence with an interactive Birthing Class

2022 dates to be announced soon

The class was an excellent catalyst for us to examine how we can best support one another in the process of bringing our baby into the world. Justine’s framework also promotes empowerment through learning how we can be our own best advocates and make informed decisions during the process that ultimately shape how we feel about the birth experience no matter how our original birth plan may change.

What makes Resilient Birth different?

Classes are trauma-Informed

As trauma-informed educator, I understand that the journey to parenthood emotional as well as physical, and that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can unexpectedly bring up past experiences, good and bad.

You are an individual with unique fears, hopes, and needs, and you deserve a class that honors the whole you.

Classes provide emotional support

It is normal to feel some anxiety about having a baby. Indeed, fears about childbirth can feel especially powerful if you have a history of trauma, loss, or other previous life challenges.

So Resilient Birth classes go much further than educating about the process of birth – I help you work out what you need to feel safe, empowered and supported during your childbirth experience.

Classes honor different ways to give birth

Maybe you want to experience childbirth without pain medication; maybe you want to opt for an epidural; maybe you are not sure what kind of birth is best for you.

Learn how to make decisions that are aligned with your values and birth goals, even when they signal a shift in your birth plan.

A good birth is one in which you feel seen, heard, and in control of the decisions you make about your care.

dive deep into

  • how to promote your baby’s safe arrival

  • what to expect from labor and birth

  • support skills for your birth partner

  • honoring your physical and mental wellbeing

  • coping skills and pain management options

additionally, learn

  • what needs to be in a birth plan

  • the right time to go to the hospital

  • potential procedures and interventions

  • breastfeeding basics

  • postpartum recovery and what to expect from life with a newborn

We feel empowered with knowledge and I am much more relaxed and feel well prepared for birth. Not only did she go over the medical aspects, Justine also raised important discussion questions and topics for my husband and I to talk and think about.

My Mission:

To help you connect to your power, make choices that are right for you, and advocate for the support you need.

Justine Leach, ph.D., B.A.C.E.

My journey to motherhood changed everything. I already understood much about trauma as it was a focus of my Ph.D., however I was unprepared for the impact of my own history of trauma on my experience of pregnancy and childbirth. After the birth of my second, I realized what was missing in most birthing classes was support for the emotional journey of having a baby - from this realization Resilient Birth was born.
